When To Try Something New In Your Business

How resistant are YOU to change?

Launch before you are ready.

I have a funny relationship with change. I crave it and I also resist it. I will never have only one job where I do one thing. I love being a multi passionate person, I get bored so easily if I do the same thing over and over again. I am drawn to jobs where every day is different and that is why entrepreneurship suits me so well.

I do however, struggle to keep up with technological changes. iPhone updates – ugh! Don’t get me started!

I also struggle with confidence when trying something new and am afraid of disappointing people, being ignored or misunderstood, and of course I am afraid of failing.

This love/hate relationship does not serve me well in my business.  I get many ideas and I really struggle to implement them.

I have been wanting to rebrand my business Embrace Network for 4 or 5 years, but the sheer volume of work involved in changing my logo on every platform completely overwhelmed me. Plus, I was uncertain WHY I wanted to rebrand.

It took me shutting my business down in 2024 and taking an eight month sabbatical from Embrace for me to be clear that I needed a rebrand to shift into alignment. I built an awesome community of heart-centred entrepreneurs that I loved connecting with on a weekly basis. I just didn't feel like I was living up to my full potential, and I certainly wasn't getting paid what my time is worth.

So here we are at the end of March 2025 and I have finally done it - I rebranded Embrace Network and launched two revised offerings with a new focus on accessibility, inclusivity, diversity, and equity.

But why rebrand you ask?

I have done a lot of research about what exactly a brand is and why it is important and this is what I have come up with:

The connections I was forming before my rebrand did not feel in alignment with the goals I have which is why I felt the rebrand was necessary. I wanted a new representation that clarifies the experience I want people to have when they interact with Embrace Network.

So I tried something new (the rebrand and revised offerings) and I certainly launched before I felt ready. What about you? When was the last time you tried something new before you felt ready? Leave a comment below.
