What if Networking was a bad word?

What would we call meetings where we talk about our business?
As I relaunch Embrace Networking I am contemplating how to describe what it is I do. I have been describing it for years as creating opportunities for heart-centred entrepreneurs to form deeper connections. This feels true to me and yet in some of my conversations with people, I realize those words don't land with the people I want to attract to our community.
This is why I am using the phrase "networking for people who hate networking". But I don't think using a negative phrase is the best way to attract people. So here is a list of different ways of describing an Embrace Networking event (my words - no AI in this post).
Find a safe place with us to practice talking about your business - no polished elevator speech required.
Join a table full of people focused on growing their businesses organically - through conversations.
Pull up a chair as your authentic self - you are welcome here.
Brainstorm small business challenges in a non-judgmental environment.
We want to know the real you, not the social media version of you.
Looking for ways to grow your business? Find people who will get to know you, trust you, and give you great referrals.
Business growth happens by word of mouth - find a place to share who you are and why you are passionate about what you do.
Find real connections with a community of people who love to support small local businesses.
Embrace Network values authenticity over polished introductions.
Show up, be you, learn something, connect with great people.
Networking is more successful when you listen for opportunities to GIVE great referrals than GET referrals that are not a fit.
People trust others who they believe are being honest. Share your passion at Embrace Networking and you will create cheerleaders.
I could go on for days - let me know what lands for you.
